Volunteer Mediation Opportunities

If you like helping others and have some free time, becoming a volunteer mediator may be just the rewarding opportunity you’ve been looking for.

Community mediators come from all walks of life. There are no special degrees or licenses needed to learn to be a mediator. Mediators help people to solve neighborhood, business, consumer, friendship and landlord/tenant disputes.

Community mediators volunteer time each month (day hours) conducting mediations. Mediation Services, Inc. provides on-going supervision, training, and support to its volunteer mediators.

A mandatory 40-hour training is the basis requirement. This “real life” training consists of hands-on role-plays and skill building activities.
