Mediation Services, Inc. offers “day of court” mediation services weekly at the Fitchburg, Leominster district courts. Gardner District courts has two small claims sessions on the second and fourth Monday of each month.
Winchendon small claims, now housed at the Gardner district court, has sessions on the third Thursday of each month. Parties are offered mediation as an alternative to appearing before the clerk magistrate. If both parties agree to mediation, they will be given the opportunity to work out their dispute and decide on their own solution. The mediation session is confidential and voluntary. If parties are unable to reach an agreement their case will be heard before the clerk magistrate. |
